Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul said, within the next 2 weeks, a special lounge will be arranged at the airport for Bangladeshi workers from the Middle East.
He gave this information at the signing ceremony between Wage Earners Welfare Board and Parkeso of Malaysia on the expansion of the labor market in Malaysia on Saturday (October 5) afternoon.
The Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment adviser said that a special lounge will be arranged for Bangladeshi expatriate workers in the Middle East within two weeks. He said, it is not our generosity towards them, but responsibility.
He said, not through a syndicate, recruiting agencies will be opened to send people to Malaysia.
Asif Nazrul said that the Prime Minister of Malaysia announced that they will take 18 thousand workers from Bangladesh. The subject has been misinterpreted in some places. We know that more than 17,000 workers, who were supposed to go to Malaysia by May 31, unfortunately could not go. The Malaysian government arranged for them to go. They promised. We will try to implement it as soon as possible.
Secretary of Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry Ruhul Amin presided over the event. Wage Earners Welfare Board Director General (Additional Secretary) Md.Hamidur Rahman signed the agreement on behalf of Bangladesh and Parkeso's Group Executive Officer Dato Sari Mohammad Azman bin Aziz on behalf of Malaysia Signed the agreement.
