The court has granted the application to show the arrest of former member of parliament of Dhaka-7 Constituency Haji Mohammad Salim, general secretary of Dhaka University Chhatra League Tanveer Hasan Saikat and former councilor Hasibur Rahman Manik in the murder case of plastic factory employee Rakib Howladar.
Presenting them in court on Monday (October 7) morning, the investigating officer of the case, Police Inspector Moradul Islam of Chowkbazar Model Police Station requested to show arrest them.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubur Rahman granted the application to show their arrest.
According to the case, 16-year-old Rakib Howladar used to work at Kajal Plastic Factory in Hosni Dalan, Chawkbazar. On August 5 afternoon, he participated in the anti-discrimination student movement. When the procession reached Chankharpool, the police, Awami League and its affiliates opened fire on the procession. Rakib was shot. He was taken to Midford Hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
In this connection Rakib's father Jahangir Hossain fied the case.
