Three people were killed when a cylinder exploded while a bus was taking gas at a filling station in Lakshmipur. At least 20 people were injured in this incident.
The accident took place at the Green Life filling station on the side of the Dhaka-Laxmipur regional highway in Munshiganj municipality area of the district on Sunday (October 13) night.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Zainul Abedin, the doctor on duty at the District Sadar Hospital, said that 3 people died in the explosion of the bus cylinder at the filling station. Besides, 20 people were injured. 10 of them have been sent to Dhaka in critical condition. The rest are being treated in this hospital.
The doctor said that the accident was so terrible that many hands were amputated. Many were seriously injured. However, the names of the victims were not immediately known.
