Hasnat Abdullah, Central Coordinator of Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, commented that Sheikh Mujib was forced to establish the name of Father of the Nation.
He said, we will never accept that he will come to Bangladesh after 9 months from Pakistan during the liberation war and claim himself as the Father of the Nation.
He said these things in the closing speech at the Rajganj area of the city after the torch procession from the town hall of Cumilla city at 8:30 pm on Saturday (October 19).
He also said that the contribution of Major Ziaur Rahman in the Liberation War has been denied. One who declared independence is called a Razakar. We demand the due share of those who have contributed in the liberation war. Tajuddin Ahmad along with all the martyrs should be given share of credit and the valuable contributions there during liberation war.
Hasnat said, file a case in the name of Chhatra League-Jubo League-Awami League. Take them from their house and hand them over to the police. The way Awami League has deprived them of their human rights; they have no chance to be rehabilitated. Awami League has no moral right to do politics. They should be outlawed as terrorists. Those of you who belong to Chhatra Dal, Shibir, right or left parties we are all sufferers during Awami rule.
During the torch procession, the students chanted slogan 'Delhi not Dhaka, Dhaka, Dhaka; Abu Sayeed , Mughdha, the war is not over, we want to fight, we want to fight, we want to live by fighting, we want to hang, we want to hang, we want to hang Sheikh Hasina'.
Central coordinator Hannan Masud, Cumilla coordinator Abu Muhammad Raihan, Mohammad Saqib Hossain, Rasedul Hasan, Rubel Hossain and others were present in the procession.
