A youth with weapons has been arrested from the border area in a joint operation by RAB-BGB in Sunamganj. The arrested youth is Md. Abdul Siddique, son of Md. Rustom Ali of Doarabazar Upazila.
The joint forces arrested him from Idokona Bazar in Doarabazar Upazila around 9 pm on Thursday (October 24). The matter was confirmed by BGB 28 Sunamganj Battalion Commander Lt. Col. AKM Zakaria Kadir.
It is learned that a joint operation was conducted by BGB and RAB at a place called Idokona Bazar in Boglabazar Union No. 8 under Doarabazar Upazila, approximately 700 yards from the border main pillar 1228/MP of the Baganbari BOP area of Doarabazar Upazila. In the operation, RAB-9 Sunamganj CPC-3 Company Commander Major Md Faisal. The accused Abdul Siddique was arrested along with a revolver. Further legal action against the arrested accused is under process.
