Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan, Adviser to the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives, has commented that political parties are failing to fully realize the aspirations of ‘24.
He said these things at a discussion held at the Officers Club Dhaka on Friday (November 15) afternoon to mark the three-month anniversary of the student uprising. Officers from various levels of the Officers Club were present at the event.
He said that the spirit of this mass uprising for which the youth have taken to the streets and given their lives, they must emerge as a political force. Because, the political aspiration for which they have given their lives, been injured, lost an arm, lost a leg or lost an eye, is sadly failing to fully realize that aspiration.
Calling on politicians, Adviser Asif Mahmud said that every political party must embrace the mass uprising of the 24th.
He said that this generation of the 24th should be given importance in every political party and they will have the opportunity to participate in various reform works of the government.
Asif Mahmud said that work is being done to find out the friends of the Awami League and appoint skilled people in various places of administration. He also said to the government officials that they should work impartially to implement the aspirations of the mass uprising.
