Adviser Mahfuz Alam has commented that some left- and right-minded leaders or individuals have gone crazy after not being able to ensure their participation in the coup and the subsequent government. He said that their madness, revolutionary zeal and provocative activities have made the country unstable.

In a post on Facebook on Monday (November 25), Mahfuz Alam, who has gone from the leadership of the anti-discrimination student movement to the government's advisory council, said this in a post on Monday (November 25) afternoon in the context of attempts to create chaos in various places in Dhaka city for several days and clashes between college students.

In the Facebook post titled 'Mass Uprising and Anti-Student-Youth Power', Mahfuz Alam highlighted the historical context of the country and said, 'The history of the ten to fifteen years after the Liberation War is the history of freedom fighters killing each other. Those who did not want Bangladesh to stand on a solid foundation; they made freedom fighters kill each other. It is not that they were not at fault, but history will tell one day how the killing of our freedom fighters set Bangladesh back.’

Mentioning that this time’s movement was a people’s movement led by brave students and youth, Mahfuz Alam wrote, ‘But a party and a local and foreign opportunistic establishment have vilified the students in the last three months, created division among the students through various student organizations, incited another young group against the students, moreover, they did not deal with the students respectfully, but rather considered the students as enemies.’

Raising the question of whether the outcome of all this is good or not, Mahfuz said, ‘We must remember that foreign powers have no ability to humiliate the people of this country. But some traitors and stubborn people with a slave mentality have this power. They have shown it in the last three months. Those who will benefit from the crisis of legitimacy of the students by pushing them into conflict and killing them are all involved in this incitement and administrative failure. We will tell everything gradually. Or you will see it if you open your eyes.'

Referring to the role of many allies as stubborn today, Mahfuz Alam said, 'We admit our failure. We have learned and are trying to overcome our failure. We will try to move forward with everyone. But stubbornness and the students' attempts at injustice will harm this nation.'

He said, 'Stubbornness, incitement, creating division and conflict among students and youth, attempts to make the forces of the uprising reactionary - all will be thwarted, Insha Allah.'

Emphasizing the move towards unity like the morning of August 5, Mahfuz Alam said, 'The unity formed organizationally this time will create an opportunity for lasting liberation, Insha Allah.'
