Israeli attacks on Gaza continued. Another 52 people were killed in the valley in the last 24 hours, 128 people were injured.

Turkish media Anadolu Agency reported this information on Monday (October 14) citing the Ministry of Health of Gaza.

The Ministry of Health said in a statement that 52 Palestinians were killed and 128 others were injured in the last 24 hours due to the continued aggression of the Israeli forces. Many people are still trapped under the rubble and on the streets as rescuers are unable to reach them.

With this, the total number of people killed in the valley has reached 42 thousand 227 people. At least 98 thousand 464 people were also injured.

Palestinian health authorities believe more than 10,000 people are still missing under the rubble of destroyed homes across the Gaza Strip. Israel has continued its brutal attacks on the besieged territory, despite a UN Security Council resolution originally calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of Gaza's Palestinians have been displaced by Israel's brutal offensive. And with acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, all of Gaza is now food insecure. 

11 people, including women and children, have been killed in tribal clashes in northwest Pakistan. Eight others were injured in this incident.

Al Jazeera reported this information in a report on Sunday (October 13) about a local official.

According to reports, two people were seriously injured in a shootout between rival tribes in Kurram district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Saturday. After that, the tension in the area increased. It was not immediately known what led to the shooting.

Senior officer Javedullah Khan said vehicles were targeted in different areas of the district, resulting in high casualties.

Javedullah said that efforts are being made to secure the traffic routes and normalize the situation. The injured have been taken to hospital.

Former Member of Parliament and Tribal Council member Pir Haider Ali Shah said the elders came to Kurram to broker a peace deal between the tribes. But the recent spate of violence has hampered efforts at a tragic and long-lasting peace.

Earlier last month, at least 25 people were killed in days of clashes between armed Shia and Sunni Muslims over a land dispute.

Although both groups have been living together peacefully in the country, some of them have been under tension for decades. Especially in Kurram, where parts of the district are dominated by Shia Muslims.

This year's Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the Japanese organization Nihon Hidankyo. Known as hibakusha, this organization is a Japanese organization representing survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

On Friday (October 11) at 11 am local time (3 pm Bangladesh time), the Nobel Institute in Oslo, capital of Norway, announced the name of the winner.

In a statement, the Nobel committee said, "Nihon Hidankyo is a human rights organization in Japan representing survivors of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The organization is also known as hibakusha. The award was given to the organization in recognition of its efforts to ensure that the world must never use nuclear weapons again and to build a world free of nuclear weapons.

According to tradition, the names of Nobel Prize winners in medicine are announced on October 7, the first Monday of October.

Two American scientists Victor Ambrose and Gary Ravkan were jointly announced on Monday as the 2024 Nobel Prize winners in Medicine or Pharmacology.

Tuesday (October 8) John J. Hopfield and Geoffrey E. Hinton was jointly awarded the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics.

Earlier, last Wednesday (October 9), three people won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry this year. They are - United States citizens David Baker and John M. Jumper and UK citizen Demis Hassabis.

Israel launched an airstrike in the central area of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. 18 people were killed and 92 injured in the airstrike carried out on Thursday (October 10) night.

Video footage from Hezbollah-run Al Mana television shows black smoke rising over downtown of Beirut. Reuters witnesses confirmed the attack took place near a gas station in a densely populated residential neighborhood. Since the attack, rescue workers have been carrying out rescue operations using torches.

Israel had no immediate comment on the attack. But on Thursday night the army issued a new evacuation alert for Beirut's southern suburbs, including certain buildings.

Earlier, the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) forces said that Israel also fired on the UN peacekeeping forces deployed in the country. A UN source said Israeli tanks fired on the watch tower of the main headquarters in Al Naqwara, injuring two peacekeepers.
