Israeli airstrikes on Gaza refugee camp kill 30, including women and children
Israeli military attacks continue in the besieged Gaza Strip. In the past 24 hours, 30 more people have been killed in Israeli attacks. At least 84 more were injured.
This information was published in a report by Qatar-based news outlet Al-Jazeera on Thursday (December 12).
At least 20 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the Al-Mawasi camp in Gaza, the report said, citing the Gaza Health Ministry. 84 more were injured.
Amjad Shawa, director of the Palestine NGO Network, said that the humanitarian situation in Gaza is worsening as winter approaches.
Israeli forces have besieged the Kamal Adwan Hospital north of Gaza City. More than a hundred patients there are at risk of death.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army claimed to have killed a senior Hamas member in an attack on the al-Mawasi camp in southern Gaza, where at least 20 other Palestinians were killed.
The Palestinian Health Ministry claims that more than 10,000 people are still missing under the rubble of destroyed houses across the Gaza Strip. Israel has continued its brutal assault on the besieged territory despite a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
According to the UN, about 85 percent of the Palestinians in Gaza have been displaced due to Israel's brutal offensive. And all of Gaza is now food insecure amid acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine.
Note that at least 44,612 people have been killed in Israeli military attacks on Gaza since October 7 last year. Another 105,834 were injured during this time.
On the other hand, 1,139 people have been killed in Hamas attacks on Israel. More than 200 Israeli citizens are imprisoned.
