The Prime Minister emphasized on advancing the language in tune with technology and also called for proper use of the translation with the help of digital devices through appropriate corrections.

The status that Bangladesh gained in the world as a victorious nation in the liberation war of 1971 was lost after the killing of the father of the nation in 1975, said Sheikh Hasina. Present government has been able to restore it again, and as a developing country our progress continues. We will move forward in the world as a dignified nation with our heads held high, she said.

Education Minister Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury presided over the program while Prime Minister's Advisor on Education and Culture Kamal Abdul Nasser Chowdhury and State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Rumana Ali spoke as a special guest. Secondary and Higher Education Department Secretary Soleiman Khan delivered the welcome speech.

Suzan Vaiz, UNESCO representative and head of office in Bangladesh, also spoke on the occasion.
