Prime Minister's private Industry and Investment Adviser Salman F Rahman said that the media should not criticize all police  in the same breath.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the 'Dhaka Range 110 Years Shining in Sourave-Gourbe Udbhasit Anginaya' program at Rajarbagh Auditorium on Monday (June 24) night.

Salman F. Rahman said, lately we saw a lot of talk about the police in the media. I would request the media not to criticize a force in general, it should not be done. No media trolls.

Salman F Rahman said, we definitely need media. If there was no news in the media, we would not have known, we would not have been able to take action. A report should have a balance. Convicted before media trolls investigate.

Salman F Rahman said about police cars, we can buy cars after this financial year in the new financial year.

He also said that the police should remember that you are people's friends. The police in my area maintain friendly relations with the people. This should be done by the police in all areas. We will get smart police like Smart Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister. At present Bangladesh Police has developed many relations with international policing.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun gave a welcome speech at the event, Dhaka Range DIG Syed Nurul Islam, President of the Standing Committee related to the Ministry of Home Affairs Member of Parliament Benazir Ahmed, Secretary of the Public Security Department of the Ministry of Home Affairs Md. The much-discussed Sadek Agro's Tk. 15 lakh goat is now the 'talk of the town'!

In the goat scandal, the information about NBR (National Board of Revenue) officer Matiur Rahman's assets has come out; In the same way, the information of various irregularities of Sadek Agro, which was established by occupying canal land illegally, has also come out.

On Thursday (June 27) morning, going to Sadek Agro located in Mohammadpur, it was seen that the goat worth Tk. 15 lakh  has become trimmed  due to careless negligence.

Besides, during the operation of the City Corporation, it was seen that the workers of the farm were dragging the goat out by its ears. Local resident Sajjad was observing the incident.

Sajjad told Barta24.com, how nothing happened for this goat! Heard, Sadek Agro will be broken today; I rushed to see the news.

He said, so far I have seen the goat worth Tk. 15 lakh  on TV and mobile phone. That's why I came to see for myself today. But when I saw it, I thought that the goat was very trimmed! But it looked fatter and bigger in mobile phone pictures.

Meanwhile, it can be seen on the ground, media workers and locals are also flocking to see the goat. At this time, ordinary people can be heard saying - "Lakh takar goats ate crore takar garden"!

Basically, because of this goat scandal, the information about the corruption and wealth of NBR officer Matiur Rahman started coming out in the media. This is the reason why the goat begins, various stories!

Dhaka North City Corporation came on the morning of Thursday (June 27) to evict Sadek Agro, which had occupied canal land.

Shortly after 11 am, the eviction process began. In the news of eviction, the cows of various breeds in the farm were removed earlier, but many goats still remain in this farm. However, during the eviction operation, it was seen that the goat worth Tk. 15 lakh  is being pulled out by the ear.

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) authorities conducted an eviction drive at Sadek Agro Farm in Mohammadpur area of the capital. At one stage of the operation, some of the farm's resident employees tried to stop the eviction operation. Later the police removed them.

DNCC authorities say that Sadek Agro Limited has illegally occupied the canal and road space. Apart from this, there are several illegal structures like rickshaw garages and slums in that area. They are being evicted. Sadek Agro has been built occupying the site of Ramchandrapur  Canal in Mohammadpur.

Heavy rain, warning of landslide in 6 divisions

The Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning of very heavy rain in six divisions including the capital Dhaka. At this time, landslides are also feared in the hilly areas of the country.

This information was given in a warning message signed by Bazlur Rashid, meteorologist of Meteorology Directorate on Thursday (June 27).

According to the warning, heavy to very heavy rain may occur in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Sylhet, Barishal and Chattogram divisions from 10 am on Friday in the next 72 hours due to the active monsoon over Bangladesh.

Due to heavy rainfall, there is a risk of landslides in the hilly areas of Chattogram, Rangamati, Khagrachari, Cox's Bazar and Bandarban districts.

Meanwhile, the maritime warning said that gusty winds may blow over North Bay of Bengal, coastal areas of Bangladesh and sea ports. That is why Chattogram, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display local warning signal number 3.

Fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice.

Fire at Riazuddin Market in Chattogram

A fire broke out in a market in Riazuddin Bazar area under Kotwali police station of Chattogra city. 9 units of fire service are working to control the fire in this incident.

It is reported that the fire started at Riazuddin Complex around 1.30 pm on Thursday (June 27).

Abdur Razzak, Deputy Assistant Director of Chattogram Fire Service, said that around 1:40 PM, I received information about a fire in a market called Rezwan Complex on Bahar Lane in Amtal area. 6 units from Agrabad, Nandankanan and Chandanpura stations reached the spot. The fire is still not completely under control. Control is in progress. After 3:30 pm three more units were added and a total of 9 units are trying to bring the fire under control.

Train carriage derailed, passengers waiting in Sylhet

Passengers suffered due to derailment of 2 coaches of Paharika Express train from Chattogram to Sylhet. Passengers are stranded at station after station.

Two coaches of Paharika Express derailed in the Katalpur area of Fenchuganj, Sylhet on Wednesday (June 26).

This was confirmed by Sylhet Railway Station Master Nurul Islam.

He said that Kalani Express and Jayantika Express trains bound for Sylhet were stranded due to derailment of two coaches.

Meanwhile, at Sylhet railway station around 10 pm, passengers were seen waiting for the train. Many have started traveling by buses and microbuses as a means of curtailment as trains do not arrive on time. Others are sitting and waiting for the train.

Mohammad Khokon, a passenger waiting for the train, said, I have come to go to Akhaura. Although the train was supposed to start at 10 pm, the train has not arrived yet. Authorities said to wait. So I am sitting here.

Anhar Mia was similarly waiting to go to Kulaura. He said that two coaches of the train have been derailed in Fenchuganj area. I don't know when the train will come and when I will go home.

One named Saleh Ahmed said, I am waiting for the train to go to Chattogram. The train will be late. I purchased the ticket. What should I do now, wait and see when the train comes.

Passengers have complained that buses and microbuses going from Sylhet railway station to Kulaura are being charged Tk. 50-100 more. The drivers claimed that they are charging Tk. 50-100 more as the vehicles are less.

Shafiul Islam Patwari, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sylhet Railway Police Station said that 6 coaches of the accident train have been brought to Moglabazar railway station. The work is going on to take the rest to Maizgaon railway station. The rescue operation may take approximately 1-2 more hours.

The train line was not normal till this report was written at 11:15 pm. Rescue work was going on.
