China announces to provide financial assistance of 100 crore dollars to Bangladesh
China's Prime Minister Le Qiang has announced to pay 100 crore dollars to Bangladesh as part of economic cooperation.
On Wednesday (July 10), Foreign Minister Hasan Mahmud said this. He told the reporters that the country's Prime Minister said that China is giving utmost importance to the relationship with Bangladesh.
He said that the Prime Minister of China has expressed his desire to take the relationship between Bangladesh and China to a new level.
The Foreign Minister said that fruitful discussions were held between Bangladesh and China on all issues in a cordial atmosphere.
Dr. Hasan Mahmud also said, recalling the relationship that started with the visit of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to China in 1952 and 1957 and the six visits of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Le Qiang said that this relationship will be further expanded in the coming days.
Sheikh Hasina has invited the Chinese President, Prime Minister and others to visit Bangladesh next year to celebrate 50 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Both the leaders emphasized on proper celebration of golden jubilee of diplomatic relations. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sought China's cooperation in solving the Rohingya problem.
She also emphasized on narrowing the trade gap with China. In response, the country's Prime Minister talked about importing more Bangladeshi products to China.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Hasina requested the Chinese Prime Minister to import leather products, jute products, pharmaceutical products and ceramic products.
The two countries have agreed to work together to establish world peace and uphold humanity around the world.
Noting that Bangladesh has allocated an Export Processing Zone for Chinese investors, the Prime Minister invited more Chinese investment in 100 Special Economic Zones.
Sheikh Hasina also mentioned Bangladesh's inclusion in BRICS in any format.
