Awami League dissolved 27 committees due to failure

A total of 27 committees of different wards of Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League have been dissolved due to failure and inaction in dealing with the quota reform movement.

This decision was taken in a discussion meeting organized at Souchna Community Center in Mohammadpur of the capital on Thursday (July 25) night.

The party took this decision after a 5-hour discussion meeting with the leaders of different wards of Mohammadpur, Adabar and Sher-e- Bangla Nagar Police Stations of Dhaka-13 Constituency.

Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Member of Parliament of Dhaka-13 Constituency and Member of the Presidium of Awami League, was present in the meeting.

After the meeting, Dhaka Metropolitan North Awami League President Sheikh Bazlur Rahman confirmed the dissolution of the committee.

He said, 'We are not getting them in the movement, in the struggle. Many are inactive. So we have dissolved a total of 27 unit committees.'

Before this, there were attacks on the local offices of the ruling party in various areas included in Dhaka-13 Constituency last Thursday and Friday Party leaders and activists were not seen at this time Even if there are party instructions, the position of the leaders and workers in the ward could not be seen. The local Awami League leaders believe that the opposition to the government got the opportunity to dominate due to organizational weakness. There are even allegations that the responsible presidents-general secretaries of all units did not directly participate in dealing with the movement.
