The chief advisor of the interim government Professor Muhammad Yunus commented that he wants to build a Bangladesh where people of all faiths will have equal rights.

He said this at a view exchange meeting after exchanging greetings with Sanatan Hindus at Dhakeshwari temple in the capital on Saturday (October 12).

Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, "We don't want a society where we have to celebrate the festival with the army and the police guard." This government wants to form a Bangladesh where all communities and citizens have equal rights.

Earlier, Chief Advisor Dr.Muhammad Yunus visited the Durga Puja at Dhakeshwari National Temple  at 3 p.m.  At this time he exchanged greetings with the leaders of the Hindu community.

The Dhakeshwari National Temple area is under tight security amid the arrival of the Chief Adviser to the interim government. For this purpose, various law enforcement forces including SSF are working there. Access to the general public has been restricted.
