Commenting that the issue of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's resignation has been resolved, President Md. Sahabuddin said, refrain from destabilizing or embarrassing the interim government by creating any new controversy on this issue.

It said that the campaign that has been carried out in various media quoting the President on the issue of the former Prime Minister's resignation has created confusion in the public mind. The clear statement from the President in this regard is that all the answers to the questions that have arisen in the public mind regarding the resignation and departure of the Prime Minister in the face of the mass revolution of the students and the public, the dissolution of Parliament and the constitutional validity of the current interim government have been reflected in the order of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on August 8, 2024 in Special Reference No. 01/2024 A.

It is further said that the Appellate Division gave this opinion in response to the President's request for an opinion from the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court on August 8, in accordance with Article 106 of the Constitution. The President has called on everyone to refrain from destabilizing or embarrassing the interim government by creating any new controversy on this settled issue.
