252 SIs have been dismissed for breach of discipline, not for political affiliation, said Home Affairs Advisor Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury.

He said this in response to a question from reporters at the Secretariat on Tuesday (October 22).

When asked what kind of breach of discipline was committed, the Home Affairs Adviser said that the Sarda Police Academy can tell the matter of breach of discipline. There can be many types of breach of discipline. It is not an issue. A new circular has been issued and appointments will be made soon.

He said that the political affiliation of the instigators in any movement must be investigated. We must be vigilant so that top terrorists who are free on bail cannot get involved in crime again. Discussions were held on the recovery of illegal weapons. A significant amount of weapons were recovered.

Keeping in mind the traffic congestion in the capital Dhaka, the Home Affairs Adviser suggested holding meetings and gatherings at Suhrawardy Udyan instead of Shahbagh.

Incidentally, 252 Sub-Inspectors (SIs) out of 823 trained at the Sarda Police Academy in Rajshahi have been discharged on charges of breach of discipline. Additional DIG (Media) Masudur Rahman confirmed this information on Tuesday. He said that 252 people are being 'discharged' from their jobs due to breach of discipline during training. The process is underway. Letters are being issued. Apart from this, these 252 people have been sent on compulsory leave since October 17.

Basit Khan Musa (7), a child shot in the head during an anti-discrimination student-public movement, has been sent to Singapore for better treatment.

He was sent to Singapore by air ambulance at 10:30 am on Tuesday (October 22).

It is reported that Musa will be treated at the National University Hospital in Singapore.

The private television Channel i has provided assistance by air ambulance to send the shot child Musa to Singapore. The government, international organizations, expatriate Bangladeshis in the United States and Canada, and ordinary people of the country have supported Musa by providing financial assistance for his treatment.

For more than three months, Musa, who was in critical condition, was given free treatment in the country. Musa, who was on life support, faced repeated infections. Doctors said that treatment in the country was no longer possible after his body became resistant to antibiotics. They recommended sending him to Singapore. Later, when the news was published in various media outlets, the government, expatriates, and countrymen stood by Musa with support.

It is known that Basit Khan Musa is the only child of Mustafizur Rahman and Nishamoni. On July 19, grandmother Maya Islam (60) and Musa were shot while buying ice cream for Musa at their house in the Meradia Hat area of Rampura in the capital. Maya Islam died the next day. Musa was admitted to the ICU of Dhaka Medical College Hospital with a bullet wound in the head. Musa, who was in critical condition, was transferred from Dhaka Medical College Hospital to the Neurosurgery Department (for adults) of CMH on August 26. Musa had been undergoing treatment in the hospital's pediatric neurology department since September 4.

Students have taken a stand in front of Bangabhaban demanding four points, including the resignation of President Md. Shahabuddin.

In the post, he described Chhatra League as 'terrorists' and demanded its ban. In addition, in his post, he called the President an 'ally of fascism' and demanded his resignation.

Another coordinator, Sarjis Alam, said he was going to Shaheed Minar in the afternoon. He urged everyone to come to Shaheed Minar on Facebook.

Sarjis Alam wrote, "The terrorist Chhatra League has to be banned, revolutionary students and the public are being met at Shaheed Minar demanding the resignation of Shahabuddin Chuppu, an ally of fascists."

The depression area located in the Bay of Bengal has intensified into a clear low pressure area. It may further intensify and turn into a cyclone on Wednesday (October 23) or Thursday (October 24). Due to this, the Meteorological Department has forecast rain in all divisions of the country.

This was stated in the weather forecast for the next 72 hours on Monday (October 21).

It is said that rain/thunderstorm may occur in some places in the capital Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Rajshahi divisions and in one or two places in Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions.

The day temperature may decrease slightly across the country and the night temperature may increase by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.

Meanwhile, a warning issued by the Meteorological Office on Monday (October 21) said that if the low pressure develops into a cyclone, it will be named 'Dana'. This name was given by Qatar.

The warning states that all fishing boats and trawlers in the North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice so that they can go to safe shelter at short notice.

According to the cyclone alert of the meteorological agency, a low pressure will form in the sea on October 23. It will turn into a strong cyclone by October 23 or 24.

If the cyclone hits any coast of Barishal and Khulna divisions, its speed may be 100-120 km per hour. If the cyclone hits the coast during high tide, there is a risk of flooding in the coastal areas of Satkhira, Khulna and Bagerhat districts with a tidal surge of 6 to 8 feet higher than normal.

On the other hand, if this cyclone hits Odisha in India, its speed may be 130-150 kilometers per hour. The West Bengal Meteorological Department said that the sea has already become rough in Odisha and West Midnapore. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in several districts of South Bengal from Tuesday. The administration has banned fishermen from going to sea for three days from Wednesday. It is expected to intensify into a strong cyclone in the east-central Bay of Bengal on the 23rd. If this happens, several areas of South Bengal including Kolkata are expected to be flooded.

In addition, the West Bengal government has ordered people to be evacuated from coastal areas and low-lying areas to safer places.

Meanwhile, tomorrow's (Wednesday) weather forecast says that most places in Khulna and Barishal divisions and some places in Rajshahi, Rangpur, Dhaka, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions may experience rain/thunderstorms.

Day and night temperatures across the country may decrease by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius.

The probability of precipitation may decrease during extended 5 (five) day weather conditions.
