Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul said that everyone has reached an agreement on the issue of protecting the sovereignty, existence, independence and dignity of Bangladesh.

He told reporters after a meeting of political parties with the chief adviser at the Foreign Service Academy on Wednesday (December 4) evening.

The Law Adviser said that all political parties in Bangladesh were present today. In this meeting, everyone reached an agreement on the issue of protecting the sovereignty, existence, independence and dignity of Bangladesh.

He said, we will remain brave, steadfast and united against any kind of propaganda and incitement. If any kind of incitement comes in the future, we will continue to make efforts to show our unity more vigorously. In the meeting, we are the entire nation united against India's propaganda, so a proposal was brought whether we can all hold a rally together or even hold a security council.

The main tone of this meeting was that we may have differences in opinions, positions and ideologies, but we are all one in protecting the country, sovereignty, and existence. The country is above all and we will never deviate from this. Dr. Asif Nazrul also said that there is no room for thinking of Bangladesh as weak, powerless, or submissive.

Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief adviser to the interim government, said, "We were able to remove the most oppressing stone from our chest through the mass uprising of students and the public. We celebrated victory. But many people do not like our freedom, our independence. Efforts are being made to reverse it in various ways. Therefore, everyone must be united to establish the current reality of the country to the world.

He said this at a meeting with political party leaders at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Wednesday (December 4).

The chief adviser said, Durga Puja was celebrated peacefully across the country in October. We also participated in the joy of the puja. There was no chaos anywhere. Many people did not like that either. Efforts are being made to destabilize the country anew.

He said, "The Bangladesh that we are trying to build is being covered up and the story of another Bangladesh is being written. They are doing this all the time in various forms." It is not that it is now within one country, but has spread to certain big countries.'

Those who did not like our uprising want to erase it, want to present it to the world in a new way. We have to protect Bangladesh from the terrible things that are happening here. They want to come forward to protect it. Now we all have to unite to prove them false or establish reality. This is not a matter of any particular political ideology. It is a matter of our existence as a nation,' he added.

Referring to various Indian propaganda recently about Bangladesh, the chief adviser said, they want to erase the free and independent Bangladesh that we created and go back to the previous one. They do not say with their mouths that the previous one was good, but their attitude is that the previous one was good. Their power is so great that they are able to lure people into it. Because of their fiction, people are expressing doubts about what kind of government this is.

Dr. Muhammad Yunus said, we have been telling them repeatedly that you come here, see, there are no obstacles here. But no, they are making up stories from there. Now we have to tell the world that we are one, what we have got we have got together, we did not get it because of any ideology, we did not get it by pushing, we uprooted those who were oppressing us. This has to be presented in front of everyone, so that we can all do it together. This has become a big issue on our journey to new Bangladesh; it has become a matter of existence.

Addressing the leaders of political parties, Dr. Yunus said, you all understand well. We all have to do the work together, if we all come together, a collective force is created, this collective force is the reason for sitting with you.

Earlier, from 3:30 pm, leaders of different political parties started coming to the Foreign Service Academy one by one. A 5-member delegation led by BNP Standing Committee member Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain participated.

The delegation led by Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman, comprising central leaders, participated in the meeting. Representatives of other political parties also attended the meeting.

However, the Jatiya Party was not invited by the government, said the party's Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu.

Earlier, the chief adviser held a meeting with the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement in Jamuna on Tuesday (December 3) evening to discuss various ongoing issues in the country.

It is learned that the chief advisor will hold a meeting with leaders of religious communities tomorrow, Thursday.

The DNA test taken from the grave to determine the identity of BNP leader Abul Haris Chowdhury has matched that of his family. Now, Haris Chowdhury's body can be buried in the graveyard of the family's choice.

After submitting a report in this regard, the High Court bench of Justice Fahmida Quader and Justice Mubina Asaf issued this order on Wednesday (December 4).

Barrister Mahdeen Chowdhury was in favor of the petition in the court.

Earlier, on September 5, the High Court bench, after hearing a writ petition filed by his daughter Barrister Samira Tanzin, ordered a DNA test to be conducted to determine the identity of Abul Haris Chowdhury.

In 2021, media reports said that on September 4 of that year, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia's political secretary and former BNP leader Abul Haris Chowdhury was buried in a madrasa graveyard in the Jalalabad area of Savar, Dhaka, under the name 'Mahmudur Rahman'.

Haris Chowdhury's daughter said that the recently departed dictatorial government's intelligence department has created a drama to question his father's death. The media has reported one after another, and the fog surrounding Haris Chowdhury's death was not clearing. I have filed this writ to determine that there will never be any questions about it. As a child, it is very tragic and painful that there will be doubts about my father's death. People still ask if he is really dead! We are being harassed. So I approached the court to end this. The court did not disappoint.

Abul Haris Chowdhury was buried in the graveyard of Jamia Khatamun Nabiyyin Madrasa in Savar under the name Mahmudur Rahman.

A rule has been issued asking why a DNA test should not be ordered to be done to determine his identity, and why a death certificate should not be issued in the name of Abul Haris Chowdhury after the DNA test report comes positive, why the Interpol Red Notice in his name should not be withdrawn, and why the brave freedom fighter should not be buried in his own district with due respect as per his last wishes.

The Home Secretary, Local Government Secretary, Registrar General (Birth and Death), Director of CID, Superintendent of Police of Dhaka District and OC of Savar Model Police Station have been asked to respond to the rule.

After the declaration of emergency in the country in 2007, Haris Chowdhury's wife went to her village home in Darpnagar, Kanaighat Upazila of Sylhet. After 12 midnight, his personal assistant Atiq told him on his mobile phone that a joint force operation was underway at the residence of BNP leaders in Dhaka. A few hours later, the joint force raided Haris's house. But he had already escaped. After hiding here and there in Sylhet for a few days, he crossed the Zakiganj border into India in the dark of night on January 29 of that year. His grandparents' house was in Badarpur, Karimganj district, Assam, India. He stayed there. From there, he would travel abroad.
