Dhaka: The prosecution team of the tribunal has obtained important call records of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was ousted in the student-public uprising, and those involved in the July murders. However, the prosecutors have complained of non-cooperation in providing information to the tribunal.

This information was revealed by the Prosecutor's Office of the International Crimes Tribunal on Monday (January 13).

In addition, the prosecution has obtained various technical information and data on the disappearances. While seizing them, the prosecution has accused several institutions, including the National Telecommunication Monitoring Center (NTMC), of non-cooperation with the tribunal.

The killings that took place in Bangladesh in July and August, first over quotas and then over the government's overthrow, are being called 'genocide'.

Although there has been much talk about the number of people killed in the movement, the actual number has not yet been determined. However, according to a list from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, the number of dead is 708.

The work of compiling a list to determine the number of dead is ongoing.
