He said Saima Wazed Putul was appointed as the Regional Director of the World Health Organization through various corruptions. It is alleged that former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina used her power unethically to make her daughter Saima Wazed Putul the Regional Director of the WHO despite her lack of qualifications to be the Regional Director for South-East Asia.

After verifying the initial information of the allegation, the commission decided to investigate. At the same time, Akhter Hossain said that it has started an investigation against former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Defense Adviser Tariq Siddiqui and his family members on charges of money laundering.
