Discussions with political parties on the report given by the commission will begin next month, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Adviser Syeda Rizwana Hasan said.

She gave this information at a press briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Wednesday (January 15).

Regarding the publication of the reports of the reform commissions, she said that the gist of the reports of the commissions will be published today.

The Environment Adviser said that the heads of the reform commissions have asked for a month to decide on priorities. Accordingly, formal discussions for consensus may begin from the middle of next month.

The interim government wants to implement only those reforms on which there is consensus with the political parties, said Law Adviser Dr. Asif Nazrul.

He gave this information at a news briefing at the Foreign Service Academy in the capital on Wednesday (January 15).

He said that it will take time until June next year to implement the expected reforms. The law will be formulated and implemented on the basis of consensus after discussions with the political parties.

The law adviser also said that the trial of the July genocide will begin in the trial court before the next election.

The reform report will be the charter of the new Bangladesh, and elections will be held on its basis, said Chief Adviser Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

The members of the commission handed over these reports to the chief adviser's office in Tejgaon on Wednesday (January 15) morning. He then said all this in the meeting.

The chief adviser said, this is not just a formality, this is a historic moment. Many committees are formed, reports are published and formalities are done. But today's formalities are much higher than them. Today's event will be a part of history because these commissions were created from the flow of history.

He also said, we had given you the task of creating a structure for a new Bangladesh through the commission with the dream. The dream is still there, the outlines of that dream must be highlighted. This is not the end; it is the beginning of a chapter. The dream and its journey after the coup have begun. A large part of it will be reflected through this report, what we want to do. Through this, we will start a discussion with everyone. You have prepared the material for the discussion to see whether everyone is in agreement with this and whether the promises are being fulfilled.

Four commissions have submitted reform proposals to the chief adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

The commission heads submitted these reports at the chief adviser's office in Tejgaon on Wednesday (January 15).

The government is scheduled to brief the media on the matter in detail at a press conference at 3 pm.

The commissions that submitted the reports are - Electoral System Reform Commission led by Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Police Administration Reform Commission led by Sarfaraz Hossain, Anti-Corruption Commission led by TIB's Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, and the Constitution Reform Commission led by Illinois State University's distinguished professor Dr. Ali Riaz.

After receiving the reports of these commissions, the interim government will start dialogue with political parties. The discussions may start this month. Those concerned also believe that an outline may emerge from the dialogue if there is a consensus on the reform proposals and their implementation.
