BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir commented that the decisions taken by the Interim government are logical and timely. He said, BNP wants to promote permanent form of caretaker government and bi-cameral parliamentary system. So we are in favor of reforms in Election Commission and other institutions.

He said this in response to questions from journalists at the Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on Saturday night (September 7) while returning home after treatment from Singapore.

Mirza Fakhrul, in response to a question from journalists about the extortion allegations against BNP, said that there is more misinformation than the reality.

National Standing Committee member of BNP Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhur commented that those who were in the movement to overthrow the government will form the national government.

He said this after a three-party meeting with BNP's Liaison Committee at Gulshan Chairperson's office on Friday (September 5).

Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, a member of the National Standing Committee of BNP, said that today is the first time we have met together for this simultaneous movement after the fall of Sheikh Hasina. There are various conspiracies going on in the current context of the country. Various factories in the country are being closed by conspiracy. We all know who are behind. All those who destabilize the country must be united in all these places.

Amir Khosru said, we all have to work with the conviction to build a new Bangladesh by creating national unity. We are supporting the government in its continuity.

Mentioning that the conspiracy is going on, he said that those who are rioting in the Ansar and the mills are coming in the newspapers. Everyone knows who is behind these anti-state activities. Everyone should be united to face them. So that the country is stable and the country's economy is stable so that we can move towards building a new Bangladesh.

We will present the 31-point demands of constitutional reform to the people for united implementation in the simultaneous movement. These reforms are expected by the nation today. The major changes we are going to bring, Tariq Rahman said, there will be a bi-cameral parliament. Then there is the balance of power between the Prime Minister, the President and the Ministers. We will present to them what the people of Bangladesh expect. We will implement these.

Our leader Tariq Rahman spoke about the formation of the national government. We announced these 31 points simultaneously. Tariq Rahman said that those who were active behind Sheikh Hasina’s fall will form a national government. If necessary, if there is any change in the 31 clauses, I will do that.

Dhaka: With the support of the people, BNP wants to see the country run in the "national government" system and the bi-cameral legislature incorporated into the constitution, the party's acting chairman Tariq Rahman said.

He said these things while addressing the grassroot leaders and activists of the Dhaka Division as part of a series of programs on Wednesday (September 4) evening. Mirza Abbas, member of the National Standing Committee of the party, Dr. Abdul Moin Khan and Babu Gayeshwar Chandra Roy were present among others at that time

Acting chairman of the party Tariq Rahman said, our predecessors fought on the battlefield and gave us an independent country. The key to winning this war was unquestioned national unity. It is sad but true that after independence we could not utilize the power of that unity. The country has been divided since the first day as the party government of Awami League came to power instead of a necessary national government. As a result, despite the desire of a large section, the country could not make any contribution.

The Acting Chairman of BNP said, we have seen how people of one party roam everywhere in the party government; And everyone else's position becomes insignificant and secondary. As a result, the country is deprived of services to a large population. We do not want to repeat the opportunity that was missed that day without using the power of national unity after independence. With the support of the people, BNP wants to see the country run through the national government in the future.

Tariq Rahman said, those who participated in the struggle to restore democracy and voting rights for the people of this country; All of them will participate in the governance of the country in the future, so that the country is not deprived of the benefits of their contribution.

Talking about the reform plan of the country, Tariq Rahman said, I think it is necessary to inform the countrymen about another important reform plan. There are numerous scholars, talented teachers, artists-writers, journalists, researchers, doctors, technical experts, humanitarian workers who are not involved in traditional politics in the country but want to participate in the formation, development and management of the country; But in the current constitutional framework, there is no opportunity for them to contribute as members of Parliament. To utilize their services and contribution to the work of the country, BNP wants to see bi-cameral legislature system with upper house incorporated to the constitution in our country like many other countries in the world. I can only humbly share our plans and intentions for the future, because we know that the support of the people of the country can only help us to realize our plans.

Referring to Sheikh Hasina's government burdening the people of the country with debt, Tariq Rahman said, I hope the people will definitely not want to see those parties or individuals join the national government; Who turned the whole country into the private property of a group and family. Those who in the name of so-called development put the burden of one and a half lakh taka on each of our shoulders and smuggled thousands of lakhs of crores of money abroad. A mountain of wealth has been built in the country. Missing-murder attacks-cases have brought life to the people of the country by torture. The prices of daily necessities, rice, pulses, salt, oil and medicine have gone beyond the reach of people. All the pillars of the state, including the judiciary and the executive branch, had collapsed.

He instructed to use one’s political wisdom and strategy to deal with the invisible adversary that has arisen recently. Finally, expressing immense trust and gratitude to grassroots, he said that grassroot has repeatedly protected BNP during all the crises of the party. The success and progress of the BNP as a party will never be disrupted if the dedicated activists who do not expect the title of MP, Minister continue to have steadfast faith in the ideology of Shahid Zia, Khaleda Zia and BNP.

Feni: Feni has suffered heavy losses due to heavy rains and heavy floods from the mountains coming down from the upstream of India. Around 24 lakh 12 thousand 396  and poultry birds including cattle, goats, buffaloes, sheep of the district have drowned in the flood water. Out of which 23 lakh 56 thousand 982 poultry birds died, 55 thousand 414 cows-goats and buffalo-sheep died.

The quantity of loss in the livestock sector is Tk. 396 crore 9 lakh 95 thousand 403 according to the District Livestock Office.

Hundreds of acres of pastures were also flooded. The granular feed of animals - grass, straw has been destroyed by water. In this situation, the farmers of the district are in crisis of existence. Farmers went to shelters to escape the flood waters, but many could not take their livestock and poultry. As a result, most of the animals and birds died in the terrible flood.

According to the District Livestock Department, the damage of Tk. 396 crores 9 lakhs 95 thousand 403 has been estimated in the livestock sector so far due to this flood. A total of 55 thousand 414 animals including 38 thousand 731 cattle, 359 buffaloes, 15 thousand 588 goats and 736 sheep died in six upazilas of the district in 39 unions and pourashavas. Also, a total of 23 lakh 56 thousand 982 poultry including 21 lakh 67 thousand 510 chickens and 1 lakh 89 thousand 472 ducks died. The total loss of dead animals is Tk. 308 crore 36 lakh 39 thousand 830 taka.

In Feni, Fulgazi, Parasuhuram and Feni Sadar Upazila Livestock Offices were submerged in flood water. According to the same source, 42 lakh 49 thousand 963 cattle and poultry have been affected by flood in the district. 1 thousand 992 livestock farms have suffered a loss of Tk. 13 crore 17 lakh 39 thousand 200 and 1 thousand 623 poultry farms have suffered a loss of Tk. 10 crore 97 lakh 5 thousand.

Also, 3 thousand 950 tons of animal feed was destroyed. Its market value is Tk. 23 crore 44 lakh 50 thousand taka. Hay worth Tk. 3 crore 81 lakh, animal grass worth Tk. 3 crore 81 lakh 50 thousand has been destroyed in the district. 285 acres of pastures were flooded.

Shakhawat Hossain, a farmer of Nijkunjra village in Feni, said that the chicken was supposed to be sold after a few days. The water came in during the night, I could not move anything. Two and a half thousand chickens, along with food and all other things were washed away in the water. It is not possible to overcome this loss. Now if the opportunity of small loan is given with low interest then many will be able to turn around to some extent.

A farmer named Mubarak Hossain of Fulgazi said, I was handling the poverty of the family somehow by rearing three cows. A sudden flood has thrown everything into disarray. Although the family managed to save their lives by going to a shelter, the cattle and poultry had to be left behind in the flood waters. After the water receded, I returned home and found nothing.

In this regard, the District Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Mozammel Haque said that the livestock sector of the district has suffered great losses due to the severe floods in Feni. So far the damage of Tk. 396 crore 9 lakh 95 thousand 403 has been assessed. It was not possible to reach there as many areas were still under water. Higher authorities have been informed about this.

About helping farmers, he said, 500 kg of food has been distributed in the district in the last few days. Medicines and food are the most needed in this situation. We are trying to stand by farmers by coordinating through various voluntary organizations. He said that if there is any kind of incentive or assistance from the Ministry, it will be delivered to the marginal level. #
