Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus said this in a condolence message on the death of Hasan Arif, Adviser to the Ministry of Land, Civil Aviation and Tourism, on Friday (December 20). He learned about Hasan Arif's news soon after landing in Dhaka from Dubai in the afternoon. He rushed from the airport to Lab Aid Hospital in Dhanmondi to pay his last respects to the late adviser.
In a condolence message, the Chief Adviser said, "I am deeply saddened by his sudden death. Adviser Hasan Arif was a top lawyer, he was playing an important role in the interim government."
The former Attorney General of Bangladesh was associated with the legal profession for a long time. He served as the law adviser to the caretaker government led by Fakhruddin Ahmed from 2008 to January 2009.
