Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar has strongly condemned and protested the incident of police firing killing 4 worshippers and injuring many worshippers over the demolition of a Mughal-era Jamaat in Sambhale, Uttar Pradesh, India.

The party's Secretary General and former MP Professor Mia Golam Parwar made this condemnation and protest in a statement on Monday (November 25).

In the statement, he said, "When Hindus tried to conduct a survey on a Mughal-era Jamaat in Sambhale, Uttar Pradesh, India, claiming that it was a temple, Muslims prevented them from doing so, resulting in police firing killing 4 worshippers and injuring many worshippers. I strongly condemn and protest this incident.

He also said that the ruling BJP government has been conspiring in various ways to destroy Muslim mosques and madrasas since coming to power. As part of that conspiracy, a conspiracy has been started to destroy the mosque by falsely claiming that there was a temple in the mosque's place. By trying to destroy the mosque of Muslims, the BJP government has violated the religious and human rights of Muslims recognized by the United Nations. Muslims all over the world are concerned about such heinous and unjust actions of the Indian government.

I urge the BJP government to stop the conspiracy to destroy the mosque of Muslims. At the same time, I urge the Bangladesh government to protest the Indian government's interference in the religious and human rights of Muslims in India."
