BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has urged the interim government to control the situation with firm hand.
The BNP Acting Chairman said this in a statement on the prevailing political situation on Wednesday (November 27) night.
In the statement, Tarique Rahman said, after the escape of the dictatorship, in post-people's uprising Bangladesh, on the one hand, the demands of the people deprived of their rights for a long decade and a half, and on the other hand, the fire of revenge of the fugitive dictatorship has created a turbulent situation in the country. The fugitive dictatorship had created a mountain of irregularities in different sectors of the country in the last 15 years. It took away all the rights of the people. In an environment free from dictatorship, people of different classes and professions are currently taking to the streets with demands and demands. The accomplices of the fugitive dictatorship, who have lost illegal power and illegal privileges, are trying to use this movement to realize the people's demands as an opportunity to destabilize the government. Using the movement as a shield, the conspirators have been involved in an attempt to create anarchy in the country by mixing with the protesters.
He further said that the conspirators have spread a web of conspiracy in the country by exploiting various issues related to the rights of the people. The attempt to create a planned anarchy is gradually becoming visible throughout the country. Intolerance is being observed in the minds of the people. There is no room to view the incidents that have taken place in various parts of the country including Dhaka in the last few days as isolated incidents. The malicious activities of those who have destroyed state stability in recent times have become worrisome.
Urging the law enforcement agencies to closely investigate whether anyone is taking advantage of the people's rational movement situation to 'sabotage', Tarique Rahman said, why have the students who played a courageous role in the public movement on the streets against the mafia government suddenly become so vengeful against each other? This question has now become a big one in the public mind. After such a successful mass uprising of students and the public, why would students vandalize the education premises? Why would they set fire? There is no opportunity to watch these incidents normally. We need to increase surveillance on the situation.
Appealing to the people about the current situation in the country, Tarique Rahman said, "Give the government a little more time. Show a little more patience. Stay calm. Keep a close and vigilant eye on the situation. Regardless of party, religion, or caste, each of us must remember that if we fail to overcome the obstacles of the conspirators on the journey of establishing democracy with prudence, the freedom-loving people will have to pay an extreme price."
