Sheikh Hasina though fled, but her trail remains: Tarique Rahman
BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman said, even though Sheikh Hasina has fled, her trail remains. Sheikh Hasina is conspiring to destabilize Bangladesh while sitting in India. Everyone should be alert in this regard. It should be remembered that if BNP is damaged in any way, the entire country and its people will be damaged.
He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the '31 Points for Repairing the State Structure' and Public Relations Departmental Workshop on Tuesday (November 26). The workshop, which started at 10 am, ended at 5:15 pm.
Regarding money laundering in the country, Tarique Rahman said, those who looted and laundered money, the neighboring countries that have achieved their own interests are not sitting still. They are still conspiring. If democracy is re-established, it will be possible to stop these conspiracies.
He also said that democracy is often hindered on the way. BNP has been fighting for more than 15 years to restore democracy. Many leaders have been victims of disappearances and murders.
The acting chairman of BNP said that the elected government must be accountable. If BNP comes to power, local governments will be strengthened. A list of martyrs of July-August will be made. Addressing BNP leaders and activists, he said that people's trust must be maintained. By looking at the party's activities, people's trust and confidence in BNP will increase further. Leaders and activists will have to go door to door to the common people to implement BNP's 31-point plan to repair the state.
Tarique Rahman said that BNP is the largest political party in the country today. If the party is damaged in any way, the country and the country's democracy will be damaged. So let us try to build ourselves according to the people's expectations. I think those who have survived by enduring the tyranny and torture of the fugitive dictator will survive in the future as well.
The top leader of BNP emphasized that we must be in favor of democracy, keep democracy going. Wherever elections are held, they must be held in a democratic process.
