It is true that fascism has fallen. But fascism can return for some of our work at any time, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has commented. For this, he called on everyone to unite.

Mirza Fakhrul said these things in his speech as the chief guest at a view-sharing meeting titled 'Role of Writers and Artists in State Reconstruction' organized by the Jatiyo Kabita Parishad at the National Press Club on Thursday (November 28).

The BNP Secretary General said that the friends of dictatorship are systematically causing various incidents. The sacrifices made so far cannot be allowed to fail. We must move forward through unity without creating discord among ourselves.

Mirza Fakhrul said that fascism has been defeated, but it can return at any time. Today, unfortunately, we are doing several things that have greatly increased the possibility of fascism returning.

He said, many people say that elections are not democracy, of course not. For that, a process is needed, if we do not go through that process, then we will not be able to reach the goal.

On the current unstable environment, Mirza Fakhrul said, I think it is being created in a very planned way. It is being done by fallen fascism. Why are we, who were in favor and fought, creating division? Today, it is scary to hear different things in different places, we are trying to take the entire movement in a different direction right now.

Criticizing the Indian media, he said, a few people called me last night, their only question was what are you doing about ISKCON? This question is completely intentional.

The meeting, chaired by Jatiyo Kabita Parishad convener Mohan Raihan, also included former DUCSU VP Mujahidul Islam Selim, Nagorik Oikya president Mahmudur Rahman Manna, Biplobi Workers Party general secretary Saiful Haque, Gana Sanghati Andolon chief coordinator Jonayed Saki, BNP vice chairman Nurul Islam Moni, writer and intellectual Salimullah Khan, writer and journalist Abu Sayeed Khan, National Press Club president and editor of Daily Kaler Kantho poet Hasan Hafiz, poet and journalist Sohrab Hasan and Gana Adhikar Parishad general Rashed Khan, among others spoke.
