Omicron: Isolation period is 10 days instead of 14 days
Dhaka: Coronavirus infection is on the rise in the country. According to the Directorate of Health, if anybody is infected with corona, he will need to have isolation for 10 days instead of 14 days from now.
On Sunday (January 30) at noon, in the regular virtual bulletin of the directorate about the situation of corona infection in the country, the line director and spokesperson of the disease control unit of the health directorate, Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam said this.
"If the corona test is positive, we will talk about isolation for 10 days now," he said. When the fever goes away, he will return to work in 10 days after the symptoms go away. Earlier, the RT-PCR certificate had to be taken as a condition, but we are postponing it for the time being.
"Everyone is talking about Omicron's symptoms," he said. Symptoms include runny nose, headache, fatigue, sneezing, sore throat, and cough. He said that if a person has a sore throat due to cold or fever due to shivering, the advice of a doctor should also be taken.
Dr. Md. Nazmul Islam said, "As the rate of corona infection has increased in the country, so has our vaccination program." Those who have taken the second dose and are considered eligible for the booster dose, even those who have received the vaccine message but have not been vaccinated due to the corona infection, will be able to take the booster dose six weeks after recovery.
