Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to New Delhi on Friday (June 21) on a state visit at the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. On the occasion of this bilateral visit, the Prime Minister and her entourage will stay there on Friday and Saturday.

This information was confirmed on Wednesday in a notification sent by the Prime Minister's Press Wing.

The Prime Minister and her entourage will leave Dhaka for Palam Airport on a special Bangladesh Biman flight at 2 pm on Friday.

According to the notification, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be given a formal welcome at Rashtrapati Bhavan in the forecourt of New Delhi on Saturday morning. The Prime Minister will take the armed salute and inspect the guard of honor. At this time, the national anthems of the two countries will be played. After that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will lay wreath at Mahatma Gandhi's mausoleum at Rajghat.

The Prime Minister will hold a private meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House on the same day. Discussions at delegation level and exchange of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and agreements signed between the two countries will be held there. After that, the press statement of the two leaders will be organized there. In addition, there is a state lunch in honor of the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, on the first day of the visit, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's residence will have a courtesy meeting with Indian Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will meet Indian Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at his secretariat on Saturday afternoon. After that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will go to Rashtrapati Bhavan of India. A private meeting of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with President Draupadi Murmu will be held there.

At the end of the tour, the Prime Minister and her entourage will leave New Delhi's Palam Airport for Dhaka on a special Bangladesh Biman flight at 6 pm local time on Saturday.
