Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Mokhlesur Rahman said that the army has been given the power of executive magistrate so that people can move in a more friendly environment and feel safe. All the forces are working together under one umbrella, this power is given for this message. He said these things while talking to reporters in his office at the secretariat on Wednesday.

The senior secretary said that the government felt that the army was working in different parts of the field at a wide level. They felt that this (power of executive magistrate to the army) is the purpose of the government to secure the citizen. We are serving for the state. At the moment it seems necessary. The target is said to be only 60 days.

The senior secretary said that the administration cadre officers have the power of executive magistrate, whether it will create any conflict in this regard, it is not the power of any cadre, it is the power of the state. The government has given the power of executive magistrate to the commissioned officers of the Bangladesh Army. According to Section 12(1) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, a notification has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Tuesday with this power for two months (60 days).
