Two months have passed since the political revolution in the mass uprising of the students. Among them, the former Additional Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Detective Police (DB) Mohammad Harun Or Rashid was suddenly discussed.

During the anti-discrimination movement, a group of DB police led by Harun brought six coordinators from different areas of the capital and kept them at the DB office on Minto Road in the capital. At the time, Harun claimed, coordinators were suffering from insecurity. Therefore, they have been kept in security custody. Harun forced the six coordinators in custody to give a video message to withdraw the movement. However, after about 10 days, DB was forced to release the coordinators in the face of student and teacher agitation. Later, Sheikh Hasina fled the country in the face of intense agitation. After that several police officials along with Harun have gone covered in Dhaka.

After the mass uprising of the students on August 5, various information began to spread around Harun, the police officer in question including the attack on Harun at the airport, admission to CMH, being in the custody of other forces, and finally fleeing to the United States.

However, Harun's position is still unknown in the midst of various information. This former police officer spoke about various issues including his recent escape from an unknown place with an expatriate journalist.

Harun or Rashid said about the current position and not joining the work, various rumors were being spread around me. I was still silent when the government asked everyone to join the work. Then I contacted the DMP Commissioner on August 8. He forbade me to join then. Ask me to stay in a safe place. I went to join. But I can't join. Two days later, I saw that a case was filed in Mohammadpur police station in my name where the former Prime Minister, Home Minister, IGP, Commissioner and I were accused of the order. Then I was surprised. I work in DB. DB's job is to investigate the case. We make arrests when ordered by superior officers. I did not go and fight in Mohammadpur, it is not my job. Does the Additional Commissioner go to fight? And 6 additional commissioners after the commissioner in DMP. I am commissioner number 6. When there was a case in my name, it was a little... It is said again that there is no problem even if it is a case. If not involved in the incident will not be arrested. Good thing I thought. I thought I would join. The next day I saw an Adviser saying that the police officers who did not join. You catch them. I was even more surprised then. If I don't join the job, the proceedings will be done. And if you join, you will force me to work. After hearing this I felt like a risk. It means my life is in danger. Now people are caught and beaten, eggs are thrown. If I... First you have to live. I am deliberately silent.

Harun said that there are various rumors on Facebook and YouTube when asked about the gang-washing by the students. You have seen various rumors including pictures of death. I don't want to comment on them. Those who said these leave social media to get money. These are rumors.

The former DB officer said, "I did not go to the police headquarters after getting pain while escaping over the wall of the police headquarters."

He said, I came to America with my wife on vacation. Return to the country on July 15. After going to the country, a meeting was held at the residence of the Home Minister's core committee. The meeting was held every day. The meeting was attended by Home Secretary, Home Minister, IGP, DMP Commissioner, NSI, DGFI, SB, BGB chief. Also DIG of Dhaka range and head of NTMC. Core committee meetings were held every day. One day I was called to a meeting. I was asked for information about the arrest. Then I said I have no arrest. But RAB arrested Nuru and gave it to me, Nazrul Islam Khan. There are three coordinators at Gonoshattha Hospital. SB was guarding them. I was told to bring them to DB for safety. Then tell me how to take them?

He also said, then they say there is no need to understand so much. I will talk to the home minister. I was told this by everyone in the core committee including the commissioner. Then I asked DC Humayun of Ramna Division of DB to bring three coordinators. Humayun comes to take them. Their mobiles have already taken DGFI. Around 2-3 pm, two senior officials of DGFI called me and said that Sarjis and two others have been brought to DB Gate. Ask one of your officers to receive. Later I called Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Shahenshah Mahmud to receive. Later one of their cyber ADCs received. Here are the five. The next day the DGFI head called me and said that a girl (Nusrat Tabassum) was very agitated and should be picked up. I ask DC Mirpur Manas Kumar Poddar to bring her. These are the six. Then I was given some instructions. SB chief Monirul Islam wants to know the work update after the prime minister went to the police hospital. I send him the details. Earlier they were beaten by various organizations. But I have spoken to their (coordinator) relatives. I also ate rice with my relatives. The girl's mother was brought and kept with her. Before this, another record was released of my conversation with the Law Secretary. I told the law secretary that I did not catch them. But I am being colored. But then it was coming in various media that they were detained in the DB. I don't get any clue. Common people know that I have detained them. i am Harun did not speak ill of them. I have also spoken to VP Noor about the two coordinators. After they left but did not tell until now that Harun had misbehaved with them. My loss was that people knew Harun had taken them.

There are so many organizations and someone went to do this work with DBK. You had an overzealous attitude. In response to such a question, Harun said that DB is still making all the arrests. They are being caught all over the country and are being taken to the DB. I brought DB to a place of people's trust. As many BNP leaders have been arrested and brought to DB. No one can say I misbehaved with anyone. I have never misbehaved. I have given a charge sheet against 33 party leaders in the murder of Motijheel Awami League leader Tipu. The party leaders are angry. In the case of the murder of the latest MP Anar, Nepal, India even brought the accused from the hills. I caught the general secretary of the district. That means no one is intentionally involved in any incident. Many of the higher authorities were angry with my actions.

The head of government (Sheikh Hasina) has left everyone in danger. When asked about this, Mohammad Harun or Rashid said, I cannot say anything about it. I am a small person. I am neither the head of DMP nor the head of police. I am being conspired against. I am being fooled. The only reason why I am in the limelight is because I have served people where crimes have been committed. When people are in trouble, they come to DB instead of going to the police station. I have benefited people in my working life at DB. I did not harm anyone.

When asked whether he regrets working as a lathial of the government or not, this former DB official said, I did not work as a lathial. I do government job. Sheikh Hasina has never met me. I never went to meet Sheikh Hasina during her 15 years in power. I didn't talk to you. I am called the commander. How I became a commanding officer. I have worked under DMP Commissioner. I did what I did out of a sense of justice. I did not do wrong. For working with a sense of justice, I have fallen under the wrath of higher officials. But people appreciated my work. There is no room for misunderstanding me.
