He said that the report of the committee's recommendation has been submitted to the Chief Adviser's office last Tuesday. This report will be discussed in the Advisory Council meeting. From there, the final decision on increasing the age of entry into service will come.

According to committee sources, considering the overall situation, the report has recommended to increase the age of entry into service. It can be finalized after discussion in the Advisory Council meeting. The age limit for general job aspirants can be increased to 35 years for entering the job.

The demand to increase the age limit for entry into government jobs is almost a century old. There have been protests on the streets on this issue. In this regard, a review committee was formed on September 30 headed by the head of the Public Administration Reform Commission, former secretary Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury. After a week they gave recommendations to the government.

The review committee has taken into account the country's education system, exam pattern and employment opportunities. The final decision may come in the Advisory Council meeting. However, the review committee has recommended the retirement age of 59 years.

At present the age limit for entry into government service is 30 years. However, the freedom fighter's children are 32 years old.
