Bangladesh Workers Party President Rashed Khan Menon said that there is no doubt that the country has become a role model for development, but a small group of rich, military-civilian bureaucrats are now controlling the entire economy.

He said this to reporters after a meeting with 14 parties at Ganobhaban on Thursday (May 23) night.

He said, 14 parties together we have formed the movement, election and government. Until 2014, I was practically involved in everything from Bangabandhu's assassination trial. In 2018, I saw that the 14-party government became the Awami League government. Then the relevance of 14 parties is no longer with Awami League.

Menon said, our experience is that during this period, politically, when the government is under attack from America and fundamentalists, we stood by the 14-party government. Even during 1/11 when minus two formula is coming but your party is confused but we stand by you. We have said that now you say whether 14 parties are relevant or not.

The President of Workus Party said that there has been development in the country, there is no doubt that we have become a role model for development, but a small rich group, the military-civilian bureaucratic group, they are now controlling the entire economy. If we do not talk about money laundering today, then the continuity of development cannot be maintained.

He said, Bangabandhu spoke against discrimination now we have become a country with high discrimination. Now the disparity is 4.99 where earlier it was 2.2 points. If we increase another point, we will move to a country of high inequality.

Menon said, I fought against Hefazat, now it is seen that Hefazat is coming within Awami League, our education system is changing. Children are moving from primary school to madrassa.

Menon also said that 14 parties are fighting against communalism. Now Mr. Inu has come forward but the matter of Lenin has not gone from their minds.

The president of the Workers' Party said that Sheikh Hasina herself said in today's meeting that the United States wants to build a base in the Bay of Bengal. Today, they are trying to solve problems in our state and territory. They want control in Bangladesh, we do not agree with their proposal. It is not about the Prime Minister.

Menon also said that it is not possible to remain united without giving space to 14 parties. And the alliance leader Sheikh Hasina also said to strengthen the organization. Outsiders think we are with the government so our words are not accepted as such. If we want to talk about these issues from our own place, move forward then our balance of 14 parties will be visible to the people.

We have made a clear statement about the last election, in the 2018 election we were given a candidate by Awami League in Rajshahi but this time Awami League fought against the boat.

He also said that the Awami League leaders stood against Hasanul Haque Inu and arranged to defeat him, same happened in the case of Maizbhandari. If we do not take the leaders of 14 parties in these cases, then it will not be possible for us to move forward with unity. But Sheikh Hasina assured us that we were united and we want to move forward unitedly.

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) president Hasanul Haque Inu has commented that the country is still under a conspiracy and there is a conspiracy to oust the constitutional government.

Hasanul Haque Inu said that in the middle of the journey of 14 parties, various leaders of Awami League and many incoordination, distance and problems appeared in various activities, but today Sheikh Hasina feels the relevance of 14 parties.

After the election of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad, the first meeting of the leader of the alliance Sheikh Hasina with the ideological alliance 14 parties was held today at Ganobhaban. Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina listened to their speech for three and a half hours today. All who have to say in detail. It will no longer have the distance that is said of 14 parties.

He said, 14 party leaders and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in her opening speech have all agreed on contemporary issues and non-communal politics. All 14 party leaders have asked for guidelines. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has directed them (14 parties) to organize their parties more and make them more popular with the people.

She also said that she has ordered the 14 parties to advance the spirit of liberation war and non-sectarian humanity.

Awami League General Secretary said that the Prime Minister has given guidelines to all the 14 parties to organize their parties. Leaders of 14 parties pledged to build a more orderly and organized unity.

A 14-party alliance was formed under the leadership of Awami League in 2005 to establish non-sectarian and democratic politics. However, many of the leaders complained that the coalition partners are being neglected and underestimated due to being in power for a long time. The alliance leader and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has called the meeting to ' remove the egotism’.

The meeting will be held at Ganabhaban next Thursday (May 23) at 7 pm. This was confirmed by the 14-party coordinator-spokesperson and Awami League Advisory Council member Amir Hossain Amu.

No meeting of the 14-party alliance and the defeat of the partners in the 12th Jatiyo Sangsad elections led to extreme anger and frustration among the leaders of the parties. However, the partners tried to meet with the leader of the alliance Sheikh Hasina again and again to overcome their anger and frustration. After finally meeting him, all eyes are now on the Prime Minister.

It is known that in the election of the last January 7, extreme anger and frustration arose in the results of the vote of the partners where the ruling party Awami League gave only 6 seats to three parties. The Alliance leaders were defeated by independent candidates in all 4 of them. Workers Party president Rashed Khan Menon and JSD Standing Committee member AKM Rezaul Karim won the remaining two seats by a narrow margin.

After being defeated in the 12th JS elections, the hope was about getting reserved seats and a place in the cabinet. That hope was not fulfilled by the alliance leaders. No one got a place in the cabinet despite getting one seat in the reserved seat.

Earlier, the partners expected to meet Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for seat settlement before the 12th JS elections. But they could not meet. After being defeated in the 12th JS, the leaders of the partner parties were expecting to meet again. They are waiting for the guidance of the alliance leader after finally meeting.

According to reliable sources, the president and general secretary of each party have been invited to this meeting with the Prime Minister and the 12-party alliance leader Sheikh Hasina. Also, 14-party coordinator Amir Hossain Amu, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, some members of the party's advisory board and presidium have also been invited.
