BNP standing committee member Salahuddin Ahmed said that in the last few years there was no government to talk or bargain with India about the flooding of different parts of Bangladesh due to Indian landslides. A strong democratic government elected by the people is needed to end this situation.

On Friday (August 23), he gave this speech at a relief distribution program on behalf of party chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and acting chairman Tariq Rahman among the people of flood-affected areas at Adarsha Sadar in Cumilla.
