Elections by December if more reforms are not wanted: Press Secretary
The Press Secretary to the Chief Adviser, Shafiqul Alam, said that if the political parties do not want more reforms, elections will be held by December this year. And if more reforms are wanted, they will have to be given six more months.
He told these things to Krishibid Institution Bangladesh (KIB) journalists on Tuesday (January 7).
The Press Secretary said that the interim government has given a roadmap. Through that roadmap, we have been able to create a popular aspiration among the people of the country.
He also said that we have been able to bring the country to a lot of stability. Considering the pace at which the economy was moving, the current reserve was supposed to be 20 billion dollars, but currently it is 22 billion dollars. In that sense, we can say that we have turned around.
