The tears of Mugdha’s family are not stopping

The parents of Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdha, who was killed in the student movement, cried all the time for their son. Mugdha's cousin Farhana Sultana became emotional while talking.

She said these things at a view exchange event organized by the 'Parents Beside Children' organization at Nasrul Hamid Auditorium of Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) located in Segunbagicha of the capital on Saturday (September 14).

She said, her family was completely stunned after Mugdha left. Mugdha's father looked at his son's picture and said only one thing, "The boy left without telling me"!

Farhana Sultana, Mugdha's cousin, demanded the maximum punishment for those who fired indiscriminately during the students' movement.

Subarna who was with Shaheed Abu Sayed in anti-discrimination student movement in Rangpur said, Sayed Bhai was by my side. We moved together. I still cannot forget that horrible day of July 16. We are very grateful to Abu Sayed bhai whose bravery has shaken the conscience of the entire student body. Sayed Bhai's movement has become more vigorous.

Dhaka Residential College student Farhan's friends are still unable to accept his departure. Highlighting some memorable events of Farhan, his friend Utsav said, We used to call him Dhala Mia because Farhan was beautiful. We had a very good relationship with him. How much time we spent together It's all in the past now. We never thought Farhan would leave like this. Farhan wanted to go abroad. But he gave his life for the country. We will always have respect for Farhan.

Dhaka Aliya Madrasa student Saifuddin Md.Emdad lost his eye during the movement. He said, by fighting, we expelled the fascist government from Bangladesh. I lost my eyesight in the movement. I went from door to door to different hospitals for treatment. We did not get treatment when we went to the hospital with injuries. I was running away from the fear of the police. Doctors did not treat me.

He further said that our brothers who are alive have to go to different hospitals for treatment. We don't have everything in one hospital. A special unit should have been made for us, but it was not done.

Mentioning that many are deprived of treatment, he said, many are selling children and conducting treatment. That's why we fought! We appeal to the head of the Interim Government Dr. Md. Yunus.

Many others were injured like Emdad. Among them is Banasree Adarsh Vidyaniketan teacher Nesharuddin. In the movement, both his legs were shot by bullets. Now he is living a very difficult life.

Umama, the central coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, said at the view exchange meeting he does not sleep at night anymore. I saw people die in front of my eyes. However, those who are now suffering from lack of treatment should get immediate treatment.

Writer and researcher Rakhal Raha said that the student society was the main force of this upsurge. We have taken to the streets in the anti-discrimination movement of students. It is our job to stand by them and that is what we are doing.

Professor Sohel Rana, teacher of Jahangir Nagar University, said that the injured have not received any help from the government in many hospitals. They require long-term treatment.
