Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said this at a program organized on Saturday (December 21) at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital under the chairmanship of Dr. Hossain Zillur Rahman, chairman of the publication festival of the 6th edition of the Banking Almanac and former adviser to the caretaker government.

The finance adviser to the interim government has commented that there are many faults or errors of the players (big participants) and regulators (regulatory authorities) behind the instability of the capital market. Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed said, BBS (Bureau of Statistics) has been told to publish the information that is there. There is no issue of rigging here. Stating that action will be taken against excessive honking, he said, drivers keep honking their horns continuously in traffic jams. But what is the solution if they honk their horns in traffic jams? Action will be taken against those who repeatedly honk their horns soon.

Calling for following discipline, he said, motorcycles are risky vehicles. Two-three people on a motorcycle are very risky. We will bring the traffic system in Dhaka under discipline. Those who use the roads must follow discipline. 

The family has decided to bury AF Hasan Arif, the adviser to the interim government's Ministry of Land, Civil Aviation and Tourism, at the Mirpur Intellectuals' Graveyard on Monday (December 23).

Hasan Arif's son Muaz Arif gave this information on Saturday (December 21) afternoon. He said that the body will be kept in the hospital's cold storage for now. His father (Hasan Arif) will be buried at the Mirpur Intellectuals' Graveyard on December 23. However, the time has not been decided yet.

Meanwhile, Hasan Arif's third namaz-e-janaza was held at the Secretariat premises at 12 noon. His second namaz-e-janaza was held at the Supreme Court's Inner Garden at 11 am.

Earlier, on Friday, the first namaz-e-janaza was held at Baitul Aman Mosque, Dhanmondi No. 7, in the capital after Isha. It was attended by Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus and important state figures. AF Hasan Arif breathed his last at Lab Aid Hospital in the capital at 3:10 pm today.

Hasan Arif was in charge of the Ministry of Lands and the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism as an adviser to the interim government. He also served as the adviser to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of the then interim government from January 2008 to January 2009. He served as the Attorney General of Bangladesh from October 2001 to April 2005.

AF Hasan Arif was born on July 10, 1941 in Kolkata. He started his professional career as a lawyer in the Kolkata High Court in 1967. He was enrolled as an advocate of the then East Pakistan High Court in 1970 and has been practicing law as an advocate of the country's highest court continuously since then.

Taking doctors' commissions from pharmaceutical companies is not only unethical, it is also illegal, said National Professor Dr. AK Azad Khan, head of the Health Sector Reforms Commission.

He made this comment at a stakeholder meeting organized on the health sector in Chattogram at the Chattogram Medical College Auditorium on Saturday (December 21) morning.

National Professor Dr. AK Azad Khan said, it is unethical and illegal. Taking commissions from doctors is not only immoral, but also illegal. The matter will be mentioned in our commission's report.

At the meeting, the stakeholders discussed various problems and solutions in the health sector in Chattogram. They urged to improve healthcare from the marginal level to the district-upazila level. Proposals to control unqualified private diagnostic centers, eliminate inter-cadre discrimination in the medical sector and resolve the crisis between government and private hospitals emerged.

The speakers emphasized on increasing the budget allocation for the medical sector and improving the quality of medical education to improve the country's healthcare system.
