All assistance will be given to 18 thousand workers: Anwar Ibrahim
Dhaka: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said that 18,000 workers who could not go to Malaysia due to ticket complications will be given all assistance.
He said this at a joint press conference at Hotel Intercontinental on Friday (October 4) afternoon.
Anwar Ibrahim said, I have full confidence in Dr. Mohammad Yunus' leadership. I believe Bangladesh will move forward and remain a full partner. Malaysia will work to make ASEAN more effective in keeping the region peaceful.”
About the country's labor market, Anwar Ibrahim said, "In the first phase, 18 thousand Bengalis will be taken in the labor market of Malaysia."
The Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus at the press conference said, "We want to take bilateral relations with Malaysia to a new height." Political, humanitarian and commercial aspects were discussed in the meeting. We talked about exporting manpower with Malaysia.
Before this, Anwar Ibrahim arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Friday (October 4) around 2:30 pm. He was welcomed by the Chief Adviser of the interim government Dr. Muhammad Yunus. Later, the Prime Minister of Malaysia was given a guard of honor at the airport. The two had a private meeting there.
Anwar Ibrahim is accompanied by a 58-member delegation comprising of his cabinet members, ministers, parliamentarians and senior government officials.
