Two passenger buses and an ambulance catch fire in Savar, 4 dead

A fire broke out after two passenger buses and an ambulance collided on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar's Police Town area. All four people in the ambulance were burned to death in the incident.

The accident occurred on Wednesday (January 8) night. The fire was brought under control at around 3:15 am after an hour-and-a-half effort by two units of the Fire Service.

Fire Service officer Alauddin, who was at the scene, confirmed this information and said that a passenger bus hit the ambulance from behind, causing the ambulance to catch fire. Later, the bus that was hit by the ambulance and a passenger bus of Shyamoli Paribahan next to it caught fire. All four people in the ambulance were burned to death on the spot.
