The court has summoned Shakib Al Hasan, one of the country's leading cricketers and former MP from Magura-1 constituency, to appear in court in a cheque dishonor case.

The other accused in the case are Agro Farm Limited MD Gazi Shahgir Hossain, the company's director Imdadul Haque and Malaika Begum.

The matter was learned from court sources on Wednesday (December 18).

According to sources, Shahibur Rahman filed the case on behalf of IFIC Bank on December 15. The case was filed after two checks worth about Tk. 4.15 crore were dishonored.

The court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque of Dhaka issued the summons on that day. They have been ordered to appear in court on January 18.

The case states that the Agro Farm owned by Shakib took a loan from IFIC Bank for business purposes. The company issued two checks in favor of the bank against this. When the bank tried to withdraw the money on the specified date, it was dishonored because there was not enough money.

Shamim Patwary started the second match from where he had finished in the first match. He performed exactly like the first match. Although the team's batting order was upset at the beginning, Bangladesh finally scored 129 runs for 7 wickets with Shamim's batting.

Bangladesh lost the toss and was given bating. However, the Tigers were in trouble from the start. Captain Liton Das was stumped for just 3 runs in 10 balls. The visitors were under pressure after losing wickets one after another. Tanjid Hasan (2 runs) and Soumya Sarkar (11 runs) quickly returned.

In the middle order, Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Zaker Ali tried to put up some resistance. Miraj scored 26 runs in 25 balls and Zaker scored 21 runs in 20 balls. However, Shamim Hossain's devastating batting towards the end of the innings gave Bangladesh the capital to fight. Shamim scored 35 runs off just 17 balls, which included 2 fours and 2 sixes. Along with him, Tanzim Hasan Shakib remained unbeaten on 9 runs off 11 balls.

Gudakesh Moti was the most successful bowler for West Indies, taking 2 wickets for 25 runs in 4 overs. Besides, Akil Hossain, Alzarri Joseph, Roston Chase and Obed McCoy each took a wicket.

Even Bangladesh's highest score of 321 in an ODI in St. Kitts was not enough to win. Mahmudullah's unbeaten 84 and Soumya-Miraj's important partnership of 136 made a big collection, but it was overshadowed by West Indies' Amir Jangu.

The left-handed batsman scored a brilliant century in his debut match. He played an unbeaten innings of 104* runs off 83 balls and gave the Caribbeans victory with 4 wickets and 25 balls to spare. He was accompanied by Kisi Carty (95) and Gurakesh Moti (44*). This is the record for the highest run chase in the history of ODIs in St. Kitts.

Earlier, Bangladesh, having lost the toss and elected to bat first, faced disaster at the beginning. After the quick departure of Tanjid and Liton, Soumya-Miraj managed the team. Later, Mahmudullah-Zaker's 150-run partnership took Bangladesh's total to 321.

However, in reply, West Indies lost 4 wickets early on, but Bangladesh's spinners lost their rhythm after the rain break. Jangu and Carty together took away the match from Bangladesh. In the end, the Caribbeans secured victory with a six from Moti.

Amir Jangu was named Man of the Match on debut. Sherfan Rutherford was the Man of the Series. With this victory, West Indies thrashed Bangladesh 3-0 in the ODI series after 10 years.

Bangladesh and West Indies played the second match on the same wicket at Warner Park in St. Kitts on Tuesday. Windies’ captain Shai Hope won the toss and sent Bangladesh to bat to gain an advantage from the wicket. However, the home bowlers could not gain an advantage and Bangladesh gave away wickets in a blundering batting.

Soumya Sarkar (2) gave a catch despite batting straight at a full-length ball. Liton was out in a spectacular manner after playing just 4 runs in 19 balls. After that, Miraj (1) was played on while leaving the ball. Tanjid Tamim was giving hope at one end. He returned to score 46 runs in 33 balls with four fours and two sixes, Bangladesh lost 4 wickets for 64 runs.

From there, Bangladesh lost 7 wickets in quick succession and were reduced to 115 for 7. From there, Mahmudullah Riyad and Tanjim Shakib put on a 92-run partnership. Tanjim returned with 45 runs with four fours and two sixes. Riyad was dismissed for 62 runs off 92 balls with four sixes and two fours, and Bangladesh were all out for 227 runs in 45.5 overs.

Chasing Bangladesh's target of 227 runs, the West Indies' opening partnership of Brandon King (82) and Evin Lewis (49) laid the foundation for 109 runs. Nahid Rana and Rishad Hossain gave Bangladesh wickets. However, the innings of Casey Carty (45) and Shai Hope (17*) took the team to the port of an easy victory.
